Warranty coverage
Whirlpool appliances are distributed in Australia by Arisit Pty Limited and are backed by a 2-year manufacturer's warranty, giving you confidence in the quality and performance of every appliance across their range of kitchen and laundry products.
- All Whirlpool appliances (refrigerators, dishwashers, washing machines, dryers, cooktops, rangehoods, ovens, freestanding cookers & microwaves): 2 years — Defects in materials and workmanship, domestic use only
Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims. To activate your warranty, register your product within 30 days of purchase at whirlpool.com.au. The warranty is transferable to a subsequent owner within the warranty period, provided Whirlpool is notified in writing with the new owner's details.
What's covered
- Manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship
- Repair or replacement of faulty products or parts within the warranty period
- Replaced or repaired components carry the remaining warranty period or 3 months, whichever is greater
What's not covered
- Incorrect installation or failure to follow manufacturer instructions
- Misuse, accidental damage, neglect, or abnormal use
- Damage from fire, water, vermin, insects, or external electrical faults
- Blockages caused by foreign objects
- Cosmetic damage that does not affect the functioning of the product
- Consumables such as light bulbs, filters, and other wear items
- Unauthorised modifications or repairs
- Commercial use of domestic appliances
- Inadequate or incorrect venting
- Excessive use of cleaning products or cleaning agents
Conditions
- Cooktops, ovens, and rangehoods must be installed by a licensed electrician or gas plumber
- Must be used and maintained in accordance with the Use and Care Guide or Instruction Manual
- Product must be registered within 30 days of purchase at whirlpool.com.au to activate the warranty
- Any transport damage must be reported within 7 days of delivery
- Proof of purchase must be provided with all claims
- The warranty is transferable to a subsequent owner provided Whirlpool is notified in writing within a reasonable time of the sale, with the new owner's name, contact details, place and date of purchase, and model and serial number
Making a claim
Contact Arisit on 1300 762 219 or submit a service request at whirlpool.com.au. For large appliances (refrigerators, dishwashers, washing machines, dryers, cooktops, rangehoods, and ovens), an authorised Whirlpool service technician will be sent to assess the claim. For smaller appliances such as microwaves, you may be asked to bring the product to your nearest authorised service agent. Please have your model number, serial number, and proof of purchase ready when submitting your claim.
Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
