• Qualified installer: Installation must be carried out by a suitably qualified person, and the appliance must be earthed.
• Cut-out: 560mm wide x 490mm deep.
• Worktop: The worktop must be heat-resistant, insulated and at least 30mm thick, and wood or similar fibrous material should not be used unless it is impregnated.
• Surrounding clearance: Leave at least 50mm of space around the cutout and keep a gap of at least 3mm between the sides of the hob and the inner worktop surfaces.
• Ventilation: Air intake and exit must not be blocked. Fit a wooden insert, screwed in place, at least 50mm below the base of the hob, and keep the ventilation holes around the hob clear of the worktop.
• Heat resistance: Adhesives and panelling must withstand 150 degrees C, and the rear wall and adjacent surfaces 90 degrees C.
• Above the cooktop: Keep at least 760mm clear between the hob and any cupboard above it.

The Artusi CAID4PG is the plug-in model in the Artusi 60cm induction range, made for kitchens where a standard 10 amp power point is available rather than a hardwired circuit. It is a 60cm induction cooktop supplied with a 10 amp plug and a 1500mm lead, with the 3-pin plug already fitted.

The black Kanger glass and red LED display give a restrained, flat look. Because the cooktop shares up to 2200W across its zones, it is at its best when cooking with one or two pans at a time: a single zone can run to level 9, two zones can each run to level 7, and with three or four zones in use the maximum levels step down. Put your largest pan on one of the 2100W zones and keep the 1500W zones for sauces and simmering.
