Product Overview

The Artusi CAEH1 is a 60cm built-in electric cooktop with four solid hotplates, finished in stainless steel. The plates are rated 2000W (front left), 1500W (rear right) and two at 1000W, so there is a powerful rapid plate for boiling and smaller plates for simmering and warming.

Control is by traditional rotary knobs with seven positions (0 to 6), and a power-on indicator light shows when any plate is on. Knob settings run from 1 (warming up) through stewing, soups and slow frying to 5-6 for grilling meat and fish. The rapid plates carry a red spot and cycle on a thermostat.

The stainless steel top is durable and easy to wipe, and a residual heat indicator light adds safety after cooking. The surface stands 76mm high with a 580mm x 500mm footprint and is designed to be top mounted into a benchtop.

The CAEH1 is hardwired for 220-240V and a licensed electrician must connect it through an omnipolar switch. It needs a 557mm x 477mm cut-out and should be installed separately from any built-in oven below it.

Extra Information

The Artusi CAEH1 is the solid-plate electric cooktop in the Artusi range, a practical alternative to the ceramic glass models. Its cast iron hotplates hold heat well and cope with heavy cookware, and the stainless steel finish gives a clean, hard-wearing look that suits modern and traditional kitchens alike.

For everyday cooking, bring food to the boil on the 2000W rapid plate, then move it to a smaller plate or a lower knob position to simmer. Pans with flat, thick bases that match the plate size give the best heat transfer and the most even results.

The box includes the cooktop, four fixing brackets and an adhesive seal strip, together with the user manual. Backed by the Artusi 2 year warranty, extendable to 5 years when you register your product.
