• Qualified installation: Installation and electrical connection must follow applicable regulations and the supplied template.
• Gas hobs: For gas cooking appliances the minimum distance from the hob to the hood must be at least 65cm.
• Ducted only: Use a rigid pipe with a minimum diameter of 120mm to evacuate fumes outside. Do not connect the hood to a flue used for gas or other fuel-burning appliances.
• Electrical: Check the house voltage matches the data label. The hood has a plug that connects to an accessible power socket.

• Ducting guidance: Rigid or semi-rigid duct with a short run and minimal bends performs best. Flexible ribbed duct is discouraged because it reduces airflow and adds noise. Keep runs to about 5 metres, counting each 90° bend as 1 metre; longer runs need a TD500 or TD350 in-line motor fitted about 1 metre from the external vent on its own switch.
• Gas appliances: Provide adequate ventilation when the hood is used with gas or other fuel-burning appliances, and have any flued gas appliances tested by a competent person after installation to confirm there is no back flow of combustion gases.

The Artusi ASO620X is a ducted slideout rangehood with 600 m³/h of extraction. It slides back into the cabinet when not in use, so it keeps the cooking area looking clean and uncluttered, while still giving strong extraction when you pull it out to cook.

It is intended for ducted installations: use a rigid pipe with a minimum diameter of 120mm, or 125mm where the supplied plastic outlet piece is used, for better performance and lower noise. Do not connect the hood to a flue used for gas or other fuel-burning appliances.

The ASO620X and ASO920X share Artusi's specification sheet and operation manual. The manual notes it covers more than one model, so some features described may not apply. The Artusi website lists a height of 204mm while the specification sheet shows 174mm, so confirm the cabinet cut-out against the template supplied with the hood.

Artusi advises not flambéing food under the hood, controlling pans with hot oil and cleaning the metal filters regularly to avoid fire risk. The hood is for household use only.
