• Adjacent cabinetry: Surrounding cabinets must be heat resistant, and veneers or laminates need a heat-resistant adhesive; the oven back wall can run well above room temperature. If unsure of the cabinet heat resistance, leave free space around the oven as the manual advises.
• Built-in position: Install under a hob or in a column; surrounding materials must resist heat and the oven should be centred and fixed with the screws and Allen screws supplied.
• Electrical: 15 amp lead and plug, 3.5kW. Earthing is mandatory and the cable should never exceed 50°C above ambient. If a fixed connection is used, provide an accessible all-pole disconnect. Have a licensed electrician connect and test the oven.
• Handling: Lift the oven into place using two people and protective gloves. Do not carry it by the door or handle.
• Built-in: Install in a cabinet cutout with suitable ventilation and heat-resistant adjacent panels; follow the cutout dimensions and clearances in the Artusi user manual and specification sheet.
• Licensed installation: Have a licensed electrician connect and test the oven.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Cooking tips from the Artusi manuals: preheat with the fan to save energy, grill with the door closed (around 175°C is the most efficient setting), preheat for at least 10 minutes before cooking pizza, and cook meat of at least 1 kg so it does not dry out. The larger the roast, the lower the temperature that should be used.
