Why You’ll Love It
  • Integrated downdraft: Centrally positioned extraction captures fumes at the source, removing the need for an overhead rangehood.
  • Powerful extraction: Airflow is rated up to 620m3/h, with three speeds plus a booster that runs for 5 minutes before returning to speed 3.
  • Bridging induction zones: Four induction zones with Boost include two rectangular zones that bridge into one large area for griddles and big pans.
  • Easy-clean extraction: The lift-out grease filter and steel drip pan are simple to clean, and the central grille is dishwasher safe.
Ideal For
  • Island and open-plan kitchens: With no overhead rangehood, nothing blocks sightlines across the room from an island or open-plan space.
  • Ducted or recirculating homes: The unit can be ducted or recirculating, with a charcoal filter kit needed for recirculating installations.
  • Cooks who dislike lingering odours: The delayed switch-off of 5, 10, 15 or 20 minutes keeps clearing the air after you finish cooking.
  • Households wanting quieter extraction: The motor is housed in the plinth, which keeps the unit quieter while the hood is running.

Product Overview

The Artusi AID864DD is an 86cm induction cooktop with an integrated downdraft hood, removing the need for an overhead rangehood. Four induction zones with Boost and bridging sit either side of a central extraction system rated up to 620m3/h.

Touch-and-slide controls give nine power levels, with pause and recall, keep warm, a minute minder, automatic pot detection and a delayed switch-off timer on the hood. The hood has three speeds plus a booster.

The hood has a fixed central grill, a removable catchment tray, a filter replacement alarm and a motor housed in the plinth. Safety includes a child lock, residual heat indicator, overheat switch-off and operating time limiter.

The hob is 860mm wide and 520mm deep, and the unit can be ducted or recirculating. It is a three-appliance installation (two induction hobs and the hood), each connected separately.

Extra Information

The AID864DD puts the extraction exactly where the cooking happens. The downdraft sits centrally between the induction zones across the 860mm wide surface, so there is no overhead rangehood to block sightlines in an island or open-plan kitchen. The motor is housed in the plinth, which keeps the unit quieter.

For everyday cooking, bridge the two rectangular zones for a griddle or large pan, and use the hob booster (P), which runs for 10 minutes, for fast boiling. On the hood, the booster runs for 5 minutes before returning to speed 3, and the delayed switch-off (5, 10, 15 or 20 minutes) clears lingering odours after you finish cooking. The grease filter and steel drip pan lift out for cleaning, and the central grille is dishwasher safe.

In the box you will find the cooktop with integrated downdraft, the gasket and fixing hardware and the quick instruction manual. A charcoal filter kit (E005KMP010301) is needed for recirculating installations, and an optional plasma filter is available from Artusi; neither is included. Backed by the Artusi 2 year warranty, extendable to 5 years when you register your product.
