Product Overview

The Artusi ADWFI55ND is a 6 place setting compact fully integrated dishwasher that takes your own cabinet door panel, so the front disappears into the kitchen. Its 550 mm wide, 452 mm high and 518 mm deep body (812 mm deep with the door open) has a stainless steel interior, a grey basket and a quiet 49 dBA operating level.

Six wash programmes cover the day: Intensive / Strong for the heaviest soiling, Heavy, ECO as the standard daily cycle, a 90 minute wash, a Glass programme for delicate items and a Rapid wash of around 30 minutes. A delay start of 1 to 24 hours, an LCD display and soft touch controls for On/Off, Programs, Delay and Start/Pause keep every cycle simple to run.

A flow meter water sensor, an anti-flood device and low spray arms look after the machine and the dishes, while a natural drying system dries without an added heating stage. The door panel supplied by the builder can weigh between 2.5 and 6 kg.

With a 10A three-pin plug, a cold water connection and indicators for end of wash, rinse aid, programme and delay, the ADWFI55ND suits small kitchens, apartments and secondary prep areas that need a real dishwasher in a very compact space.

Programmes / Functions
  • Choosing a programme: press the Program button repeatedly to step through Normal (ECO), Glass, 90 Min, Rapid, Intensive and Heavy; the indicator for the selected programme lights, then press Start / Pause to begin.
  • Intensive / Strong: for the heaviest soiled crockery, and normally soiled pots, pans and dishes with dried-on soiling.
  • Heavy: for heavily soiled loads such as pots, plates, glasses and lightly soiled pans.
  • ECO (Normal): the standard daily cycle for normally soiled pots, plates, glasses and lightly soiled pans, and the AS/NZS 2007.1 test cycle (6 place settings, rinse aid setting 6, door opened about 50 mm after the wash to help drying).
  • 90 Min: a 90 minute wash with a 65°C main wash and a 70°C final rinse followed by drying, using about 0.65 kWh and 7 litres, for lightly soiled crockery and glass.
  • Glass: a gentler 70 minute wash with a 45°C main wash and a 60°C final rinse, using about 0.45 kWh and 6 litres, for lightly soiled glasses, crystal and fine china.
  • Rapid: a shorter wash of about 30 minutes with a 40°C main wash and no drying stage, for lightly soiled loads that need a quick refresh.
  • Delay start: press the Delay button to start the cycle 1 to 24 hours later; the display shows the remaining time and state of the cycle.
  • Start / Pause: pausing a cycle stops the programme light blinking and the buzzer sounds every minute until the cycle is restarted.
  • Adding a forgotten dish: open the door slightly to stop the wash, wait for the spray arms to stop, add the dish and close the door; the cycle resumes after about 10 seconds. This is only possible before the detergent dispenser opens.
  • Changing a programme: open the door, hold the Program button for more than 3 seconds to cancel the running programme, then select a new one. Refill the detergent dispenser if the cycle has been running for more than a short time.
  • If power is switched off mid-cycle: switch on again, re-select the programme and start from the beginning.
  • Indicators: a rinse aid warning light shows when the dispenser needs refilling, and a faucet light is on while the water tap is open.
  • End of cycle: the buzzer sounds 8 times; switch the appliance off, turn off the water tap and wait about 15 minutes before unloading so dishes cool and dry better.
  • Auto power off: the dishwasher powers itself off after 30 minutes in standby without any operation.
  • Error codes: the display warns of a long water inlet time (E1), a failure to reach the required temperature (E3) or an overflow (E4).

Installation & Requirements
  • Installation type: Fully integrated, built into cabinetry behind your own door panel. Position it near the water tap, drain outlet and power socket, with one side of the cabinet chosen so the drain hose is easy to connect.
  • Qualified installation: Pipework and electrical connections should be done by qualified professionals with the power disconnected before installing.
  • Cabinet opening: Allow a cabinet space of at least 555 mm wide and 458 mm high, 550 mm deep, with cut-outs for the electrical, drain and water supply lines to either side. The hoses can be positioned to the left or the right.
  • Decorative panel: Panel weight must be 2.5 to 6 kg. Size the panel from the cabinet opening (panel height equal to the opening height plus 9.5 mm, width plus 6 mm) and keep the panel thickness between 16 and 22 mm.
  • Fitting the panel: Attach the door panel to the outer door, using 16 screws between the cabinet base board and the panel and 8 screws between the panel and the door glide, and fix the hinges with the 16 screws supplied. If you fit the machine body without a panel, skip this step.
  • Feet and levelling: Install the supporting feet into the base, slide the dishwasher into the opening with the back against the wall, level it and adjust until the door sits flush with the cabinet frame.
  • Water connection: Connect the cold water hose to a 3/4 inch threaded connector, tight, and run the water first if the pipes are new or unused so the inlet does not block. Use the new hose set supplied; old hose sets must not be reused.
  • Water pressure: The permitted inlet water pressure is 0.04 MPa minimum and 1 MPa maximum.
  • Drain hose: Insert it into a drain pipe of at least 4 cm diameter or let it run into the sink without kinks, with the free end below 30 cm and not immersed in water so water cannot flow back. Any extension must be a similar hose of no more than 4 metres.
  • High sinks: If the sink is more than 300 mm above the floor, excess water in the hoses cannot drain straight into the sink and must be drained into a bowl or container held lower than the sink.
  • Electrical: Requires a 220-240V, 50Hz supply through an earthed 10A socket on its own dedicated circuit with a 10 amp time delay fuse or circuit breaker, with no extension cords or adaptors.
  • Earthing: The appliance must be earthed; never cut or remove the earth pin or modify the plug. If the socket does not suit the plug, have a proper socket installed by an electrician.
  • Supply cord: Do not bend or flatten the power cord during installation; a damaged cord must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or a similarly qualified person.
  • Before first use: Check that the machine is level and fixed, the inlet valve is open, the inlet hose connections are tight and not leaking, the wiring is secure, the power is on, the hoses are not knotted and all packing is removed from inside.
  • Moving the dishwasher: Keep it upright where possible.

Extra Information

The ADWFI55ND is sold panel ready, so the front door panel is supplied by the builder or cabinetmaker and must weigh between 2.5 and 6 kg. Plan the cabinet opening before ordering and keep the water, drain and power entries to either side of the cavity within reach of the machine.

The 6 place setting capacity is rated to AS/NZS 2007.1 using the ECO (Normal) programme with the rinse aid set to 6 and the door opened slightly after each wash to assist drying. The rinse aid dial starts at 4: raise it for water drops or lime spots, and lower it for whitish stains or a bluish film on glassware.

Use detergent made for dishwashers only, added just before each cycle, and add a second dose to the pre-wash chamber for heavily soiled loads. Scrape off large food particles but do not pre-rinse, load hollow items facing down and keep sharp knives point down. Allow the dishes to cool for around 15 minutes before unloading, lower basket first.
