• Choosing a programme: close the door and press the Power button to light the screen. Press the Program button to select a programme (its indicator lights), then press Start/Pause and the dishwasher starts its cycle. Make sure the water supply is turned on to full pressure first.
• Auto Wash: an auto sensing wash for lightly or heavily soiled crockery, with or without dried-on food (110 to 130 minutes).
• ECO: the standard daily cycle for normally soiled loads such as pots, plates, glasses and lightly soiled pans, and the test cycle for the ratings (170 minutes).
• Glass: a gentler wash for lightly soiled crockery and glassware (90 minutes).
• Rapid: a shorter wash for lightly soiled loads that do not need drying (29 minutes).
• Self Cleaning: an effective programme that cleans the dishwasher itself (75 minutes).
• Hygiene: sanitises dishes and glassware with a highest water temperature of 75°C, suited to baby items and chopping boards (65 minutes).
• Half load: for about 5 place settings or fewer, saves energy and water. It can be used with Hygiene, ECO and Glass.
• Fresh function: helps remove dishwasher odour and mildew and improves drying. Select 4, 24 or 72 hours together with the programme, or hold the button to start it independently. It cannot be used with Rapid.
• Delay start: press "+" to add delay time or "-" to reduce it, up to a maximum of 24 hours. The button cancels the appointment, the display shows H:00 and then returns to the programme time after 3 seconds.
• Child lock: press the lock buttons together for 3 seconds to lock all buttons except Power.
• Display and indicators: the screen shows the remaining time, running state, delay time and any check message with a warning sound. The "min" indicator lights when under 1 hour remains, and separate lights show low rinse aid, a closed water faucet and programme end.
• Rinse aid: use branded liquid rinse aid only. The low rinse aid indicator lights when a refill is needed; do not overfill the dispenser.
• Rinse aid setting: five levels d1 to d5 with a factory setting of d2. After plugging in, press the Program button for more than 5 seconds within 60 seconds, then use the Program button to step through d1 to d5; the higher the level, the more rinse aid is released. Wait 5 seconds or press the on/off button to save.
• Detergent: add detergent to the larger cavity for the main wash and, for very dirty items, a small amount onto the door, which activates in the pre-wash.
• Adding a forgotten dish: press Start/Pause, wait 5 seconds, open the door carefully (hot steam may scald), add the dish, close the door and press Start/Pause after 10 seconds. This works any time before the detergent dispenser opens.
• Changing a programme: possible only shortly after the start. Press Start/Pause to pause, hold the Program button for more than 3 seconds to cancel, select the new programme and press Start/Pause. Refill the detergent dispenser if needed.
• Loading tips: face cups, glasses and pans downwards, keep plates in front of the detergent dispenser to 19 cm or smaller, and place sharp knives pointing down or horizontally. Do not overload.
• Unloading: wait around 15 minutes after the programme ends before taking out glass and cutlery, and empty the lower basket first.
• Error codes: E1 (longer inlet time, such as a closed tap or low water pressure), E3 (not reaching the required temperature), E4 (overflow), E9 (water or an object on the touch button, or a button pressed for more than 30 seconds) and Ed (communication fault between the main and display boards). If an overflow occurs, turn off the main water supply before calling for service.

• Installation type: Built-in, fitted into a compact cabinet opening. Position the dishwasher near the existing inlet and drain hoses and power cord, with the back against the wall and the sides along adjacent cabinets or walls.
• Qualified installation: The pipework and electrical equipment should be installed by professionals, with the power disconnected before installing.
• Cabinet fit: Leave less than 5 mm between the top of the dishwasher and the cabinet, with the outer door aligned to the cabinet.
• Corner installation: If installed at the corner of a cabinet, leave at least 50 mm of space so the door can open fully.
• Hose position: The water supply and drain hoses can be positioned to the right or left side to suit the installation.
• Levelling: Level using the adjustable feet and make sure the door can close without obstruction.
• Water connection: Connect the VDE inlet hose to a threaded 3/4 inch cold water connector and fasten it tightly. Let the water run clear first if the pipes are new or unused, and use the new hose set; old hose sets must not be reused.
• Safety supply hose: The double-walled hose blocks the flow of water if the supply hose breaks. Pull it fully out of the storage compartment at the rear, tighten it to the 3/4 inch tap and turn the water fully on before starting.
• Sink spray hose: A hose that attaches to a sink spray can burst if installed on the same water line as the dishwasher; disconnect it and plug the hole if your sink has one.
• Water pressure: The permitted water pressure is 0.04 to 1.0 MPa (0.4 to 10 bar).
• Drain hose: Fix the drain hose securely in position A or B, and run it into a drain pipe at least 4 cm in diameter or into the sink without bending or crimping. • Draining excess water: If the sink is 1000 mm or higher from the floor, excess water in the hoses cannot drain directly into it and must be drained into a bowl held lower than the sink.
• Electrical: 10A earthed GPO with a 1.5 m power cord (220-240V, 50Hz) on a separate circuit serving only this appliance, with a 10A, 13A or 16A time delay fuse or circuit breaker; no extension cords or adaptors.
• Earthing: The appliance must be properly earthed. Never cut or remove the earthing connection, and have a socket that does not suit the plug replaced by a qualified electrician.
• Supply cord: Do not excessively bend or flatten the power cord during installation; a damaged cord must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or a similarly qualified person.

The ADW5608 is the compact choice in Artusi's dishwasher range: just 595 mm high and 500 mm deep, it suits tight cabinet openings in apartments, secondary kitchens and smaller households while still offering 8 place settings. The glass front in Black, White or Silver gives a clean, modern look.

The self-cleaning 3-layer filter reduces the weekly maintenance you would normally do by hand, and the hot air drying system finishes the load without the need to open the door. The Self Cleaning programme keeps the interior fresh, and the Hygiene programme sanitises baby items and chopping boards.

The 3.5 star WELS rating is for 9.16 litres per wash, and the 205 kWh per year energy figure comes from the energy label for the model. Warranty is 2 years, extended to 5 years with product registration.
