• Choosing a programme: close the door and press the Power button to light the screen, then press a programme button; its indicator lights. Press Start/Pause and the dishwasher starts its cycle. The screen shows the remaining time, delay time and any error code.
• Auto: for lightly, normally or heavily soiled crockery, with or without dried-on food; senses the soil level and adjusts the cycle automatically (around 150 minutes).
• Hygiene 75°: raises the wash to 75°C for high-temperature sanitising of baby items and chopping boards (around 150 minutes).
• ECO: the standard programme for normally soiled tableware and the most efficient in terms of combined energy and water use; it is the test cycle for the ratings (195 minutes, 0.620 kWh, 12.0 litres).
• Glass: for lightly soiled crockery and glass (around 130 minutes).
• 90 Min: for normally soiled loads that need a quicker wash.
• 60 Min: for normally soiled loads that need a faster wash.
• Rapid 30 Min: a shorter wash of about 30 minutes for lightly soiled loads that do not need drying.
• Soak: a short pre-wash (about 15 minutes) to rinse dishes you plan to wash later that day.
• Self-cleaning: an effective programme that cleans the dishwasher itself.
• Half Load / Alt: press the Alt button to select the upper basket or the lower basket only; the matching indicator lights and only that spray system operates.

• Child lock: hold the Child lock button for 3 seconds to lock or unlock the control panel buttons, so children cannot start the dishwasher by accident; only the Power button stays active.
• Rinse aid and tap warnings: an icon lights when the dishwasher is low on rinse aid, and another when the water faucet is closed. The rinse aid release can be set from d1 to d5: after switching on, hold the Self-cleaning button for more than 5 seconds, then press it to step through the levels; the higher the number, the more rinse aid is used.
• Detergent: add detergent to the larger cavity for the main wash and, for very dirty items, a small amount onto the door, which activates in the pre-wash. Fill it only when you are ready to start the dishwasher.
• Adding a forgotten dish: press Start/Pause to pause, wait for the spray arms to stop, open the door, add the dish and close the door. Press Start/Pause again after 10 seconds. This works any time before the detergent dispenser opens.
• Changing a programme: possible only shortly after the start. Press Start/Pause to stop the machine, then hold any programme button for more than 3 seconds to cancel the selected programme, choose the new programme and press Start/Pause. Refill the detergent dispenser if needed.
• Unloading and standby: wait about 15 minutes after the programme ends before taking out glass and cutlery, and empty the lower basket first. In standby the appliance switches off automatically after 30 minutes without operation.
• Error codes: E1 (longer inlet time, such as a closed tap or low water pressure), E3 (not reaching the required temperature), E4 (overflow), E8 (distributary valve fault), EC (control system or motor fault) and Ed (communication fault).

• Installation type: Freestanding, or fitted between cabinets (845 mm high); remove the top to fit under a worktop (815 mm high). Position the dishwasher near the existing inlet, drain and power points, with the back against the wall and the sides along adjacent cabinets or walls.
• Qualified installation: Pipework and electrical equipment should be installed by professionals, with the power disconnected before installing.
• Fitting between cabinets: At 845 mm high the machine is designed to fit between existing cabinets of the same height. The laminated top is heatproof, scratchproof and stainproof.
• Fitting under a worktop: Remove the dishwasher's top by unscrewing the screws under its rear edge, then refit those screws under the rear edge after the top is removed. Allow a 600 mm wide opening and 820 mm height, with less than 5 mm between the top of the dishwasher and the cabinet.
• Corner installation: If installed at the corner of a cabinet, leave at least 50 mm of space so the door can open. Depending on where the outlet is, you may need to cut a hole in the opposite cabinet side.
• Door depth: The depth is 600 mm with the door closed and 1175 mm with the door opened 90°, so allow clear floor space in front.
• Levelling: Level using the adjustable feet; the machine must not be inclined by more than 2 degrees.
• Water connection: Connect the 150 cm hose to a threaded 3/4 inch connector on a cold water supply and fasten it tightly. Let the water run clear first if the pipes are new or unused, and use the new hose set; old hose sets must not be reused.
• Safety supply hose: The double-walled hose blocks the flow of water if the supply hose breaks. Pull it out from the storage compartment at the rear, tighten it to the tap and turn the water fully on before starting.
• Water pressure: The permitted water pressure is 0.04 to 1.0 MPa (0.4 to 10 bar).
• Drain hose: Fix the 150 cm drain hose securely, using the drain hose hook on the counter, and run it into a drain pipe at least 4 cm in diameter or into the sink without bending or crimping, with the drain height under 1000 mm. The free end must not be immersed in water, and an extension must be a similar hose no longer than 4 metres.
• Electrical: 150 cm power cord to a 10A earthed GPO on a separate circuit serving only this appliance, with a 10A, 13A or 16A time delay fuse or circuit breaker; no extension cords or adaptors.
• Earthing: The appliance must be properly earthed. Never cut or remove the earthing connection, and have a socket that does not suit the plug replaced by a qualified electrician.
• Supply cord: Do not excessively bend or flatten the power cord during installation; a damaged cord must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or a similarly qualified person.

The ADW5009 is Artusi's large-capacity freestanding dishwasher with a black control panel on every finish, so the appliance suits both bright white kitchens and dark, moody designs. The removable top means the same machine can stand free or slide under a standard benchtop.

The any-angle door lets you stop the door at whatever angle suits the loading, and the slide-out cutlery tray frees up the lower basket. The rinse aid adjustment dial controls how much rinse aid is released, which helps with spots on glassware in hard water areas.

The 5 star WELS rating is for 12.0 litres per wash, and the 246 kWh per year energy figure comes from the Government Energy Rating Calculator. Warranty is 2 years, extended to 5 years with product registration.
