  • End of cycle: the buzzer sounds for 8 seconds and the program light goes off. Switch off with the On/Off button, turn off the water tap and wait about 15 minutes before unloading, lower basket first. In standby the appliance powers off by itself after 30 minutes without operation.

Installation & Requirements
  • Installation type: Freestanding, or fitted into a 450 mm wide cabinet gap, with the back against the wall and the sides along adjacent cabinets or walls.
  • Positioning: The water supply and drain hoses can be positioned to the right or the left side to suit the installation. Allow for the 448 mm width, 845 mm height and 600 mm depth with the door closed.
  • Plumbing preparation: In new builds, flush the plumbing before appliances are connected so no debris reaches the inlet. Remove the tape, foam and manual from inside the machine before use.
  • Water connection: Connect the 1800 mm inlet hose to a threaded 3/4 inch connector on a cold water supply and fasten it tightly. Let the water run clear first if the pipes are new or unused, and use a new hose set; old hose sets must not be reused.
  • Water pressure: The permitted inlet water pressure is 0.04 MPa minimum and 1 MPa maximum.
  • Drain hose: Connect the 1500 mm outlet hose to the waste without kinks or squashing, with the waste connection less than 1000 mm from the bottom of the dishwasher and the hose fixed in place. If it connects to a sink spigot, make sure the hole is drilled out to the spigot's internal diameter to prevent blockage.
  • Drain extension: If you need an extension, use a similar drain hose no longer than 4 metres, otherwise cleaning performance can be reduced.
  • Electrical: Requires a 220-240V, 50Hz supply through an earthed 10A socket on a separate circuit serving only this appliance, with a 10 amp time delay fuse or circuit breaker. No extension cords or adaptors.
  • Earthing: The appliance must be earthed. Never cut or remove the earthing connection, and have a socket that does not suit the plug replaced by a qualified electrician.
  • Levelling: Level using the adjustable feet; the appliance should not be inclined by more than 2 degrees. Make sure the door closes without obstruction and take care not to kink the fill and drain hoses.
  • Securing the dishwasher: Finally secure the unit to the side or benchtop.
  • Test run: Open the tap and check for leaks, then run a short programme to confirm the unit fills and drains correctly.
  • Before first use: Check that the dishwasher is level and fixed, the inlet valve is open, hose connections are tight and not leaking, the wires are secure, the hoses are not knotted and all packing materials are removed. Do not bend or flatten the power cord, and have a damaged cord replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or a similarly qualified person.

Extra Information

The ADW4501 brings a full-height, 9 place setting dishwasher to narrow spaces. Its 448 mm width suits apartments, granny flats and secondary kitchens, and the White and Stainless Steel finishes let you match existing appliances.

The pull-out upper basket can be height adjusted, giving you extra room below for tall plates or above for tall glassware, and the wine stem support keeps delicate glasses safe through the cycle. The 3-in-1 tablet option means all-in-one tablets can be used without separate rinse aid and salt steps.

The 3 star WELS rating is for 11.0 litres per wash, and the 210 kWh per year energy figure comes from the Government Energy Rating Calculator. Scrape dishes rather than pre-rinsing and keep the rinse aid dispenser topped up for the best drying results.
