The Fienza Benson 68708 is a large single-bowl butler sink designed for installation in kitchen or laundry cabinetry. Its substantial 830mm-wide format provides a 70-litre working capacity, while the deep fire clay bowl accommodates oversized cookware, oven trays, laundry items and other tasks that benefit from a generous uninterrupted washing area.

A reversible exterior gives the Benson two distinct presentation options. One long face features a fluted profile that reinforces the traditional farmhouse character of the sink, while the opposite face is flat for a cleaner, more restrained appearance. The selected face is determined during installation, allowing the same sink to work within classic, transitional and contemporary cabinetry.

The sink is made from fine fire clay ceramic using high-quality European materials and is glazed on all sides in Fienza’s Matte Black finish. It may be installed undermount or flushmount, with permanent support shelving required beneath the sink rather than relying on the surrounding benchtop for structural support. As normal dimensional variation occurs during fire clay manufacture, final cabinetry and benchtop preparation must be based on the physical sink supplied.

Cleaning & Maintenance:

• Routine cleaning: wipe the sink with a clean, soft cloth and mild soapy water or a non-abrasive cleaner. Test the cleaner on an inconspicuous area before treating the complete sink.
• Chemical spills: remove hair dye, aftershave lotion, nail polish, nail-polish remover, aerosol spray and other harsh chemicals immediately, then clean the affected area using mild soapy water and a soft cloth.
• Hot objects: do not place hot objects directly on the sink surface, as excessive direct heat may cause marking or discolouration.
• Surface protection: use non-abrasive cleaning materials to preserve the glazed Matte Black finish.

Installation & Requirements:

• Waste connection: install one compatible Fienza basket waste selected from A3SS, A3CM, A3CO or A3RB; the waste is not supplied with the sink.
• Professional installation: installation should be completed by appropriately qualified trades, in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and applicable plumbing requirements. Fienza’s warranty conditions require installation by a licensed tradesperson.

Extra Information:

Fire clay ceramic sinks are formed and fired rather than fabricated to an exact machined tolerance. For the Benson 68708, Fienza specifies a permitted dimensional variation of ±15mm and expressly requires final measurements to be taken from the physical product. The sink should therefore be onsite before cabinetry, support shelving and benchtop openings are completed.

The reversible construction changes the visible character of the sink without changing its capacity or installation footprint. The fluted face creates a more decorative farmhouse presentation, while the flat face allows the Matte Black ceramic form to read with fewer visual details. The decision is permanent once the sink, cabinetry and benchtop are installed.
