Oven functions (per the Whirlpool use and care guide):

• Bake: top and bottom heating, 60°C to 250°C. The classic, traditional mode for cakes, covered casseroles and slow-cooked veal or beef dishes. Use one tray or rack at a time for even heat, and change the rack height to balance heat between the top and the bottom.
• Fan Assisted: top and bottom heating with the fan, 60°C to 250°C. Recommended for cooking frozen pre-packed or pre-cooked food quickly without preheating, with the best results on the second shelf from the bottom.
• Air Fry: heat from the powerful upper and fan elements circulated by the fan to heat the cavity rapidly. Food cooks quickly without turning, with the upper element helping the crispiest results. Ideal with the Air Fry basket for frozen chips, wedges and chicken nuggets.
• Grill: radiant heat from the powerful upper element, 60°C to 250°C. Suitable for tender cuts of meat, steak, chops, sausages, fish and cheese toasties. Preheat for 3 minutes and slide the grill dish into either of the 2 spaces within the upper pair of support rails.
• Maxi Grill: radiant heat from 2 powerful upper elements, 60°C to 250°C, using the full large grill dish area and cooking faster than the normal Grill. Grill with the door closed and preheat for 3 minutes.
• Turbo Grill: top inside and outside heating with the fan, 60°C to 250°C, which helps prevent food burning on the surface while the heat penetrates into the food. Excellent for kebabs, sausages, ribs, lamb chops, quail, pork chops and fish steaks, and for a gratin finish on pasta bakes.
• Forced Air: rear heating element and fan, 60°C to 250°C, ideal for cakes that need to rise and for baking on 3 shelves at the same time, such as cream puffs, sweet and savoury biscuits, savoury puffs, swiss rolls and small vegetable gratins.
• Defrost: automatically selects the ideal temperature to defrost delicate foods such as ice cream cakes, cream or custard desserts and fruit cakes more quickly. For meat, fish and bread, use Forced Air at 80°C to 100°C to speed things up.
• Gentle Steam: steam-assisted cooking, 220°C to 250°C, for juicy interiors with crispy, golden finishes. Pour 150ml of drinking water into the bottom of the cold oven, select Gentle Steam and a temperature between 220°C and 250°C, preheat for 10 minutes, then add the food.
• Smart Clean: a low-temperature steam cleaning cycle. Pour 150ml of drinking water on the bottom of the oven, select Smart Clean and set the thermostat between 220°C and 250°C for about 20 to 30 minutes.
• Light: turns on the oven lamps without heating.

Controls and daily use:

• Selection knob: turn to a function to switch the oven on, and to 0 to switch it off.
• Thermostat knob: turn to the required temperature to start the selected function, with a LED that stays on while heating and switches off when the set temperature is reached.
• Setting the time: the display shows 12:00 when power is first connected. Use the + or - buttons to set the time, which locks in after 5 seconds.
• Cooking duration: set a cooking time of up to 10 hours, and the oven switches off automatically with an alarm when the time has elapsed.
• End time and delayed start: set the time you want cooking to finish (up to 23 hours 59 minutes), or combine a cooking time and finish time so the oven starts automatically.
• Timer: a digital countdown timer up to 23 hours 59 minutes. The oven does not switch off automatically at the end, so turn it off manually.
• Cooling ventilation: a cooling fan switches on automatically when the oven is hot, and stays on after cooking until the oven has cooled down.

• Installer: the oven must be handled and installed by two or more people wearing protective gloves, and the installation and electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified person.
• Cut-out: W 896-900mm x H 597-600mm x D 580-600mm, for installation under a counter or in a wall cabinet unit.
• Ventilation: an air duct is required. The back panel of the cabinet should be removed, and if the oven rests on a continuous flat surface there must be an aperture of at least 45 x 560mm. Resting the oven on two strips of wood is preferable.
• Cabinetry: adjacent cabinet panels must be heat-resistant, and veneered cabinets must be assembled with glues that withstand up to 100°C. Do not obstruct the minimum gap between the worktop and the upper edge of the oven.
• Fixing: open the door and fasten the oven to the cabinet with the 4 wooden screws through the 4 holes around the frame.
• Electrical: 220-240V, 50-60Hz, 3,000-3,600W. Supplied with a 110cm cable without a plug. A qualified person must fit a standardised plug to suit the load or connect it directly to the mains via an omnipolar circuit breaker with at least 3mm contact opening, sized for the load, and the appliance must be correctly earthed. With a 900mm width and a 133L usable cavity, this oven suits households that regularly cook for a crowd, and it is notable for pairing both Air Fry and Gentle Steam in a single built-in. Gentle Steam needs a little preparation: pour 150ml of drinking water into the base of the cold oven, choose a temperature between 220°C and 250°C and preheat for about 10 minutes. Avoid opening the door while steaming, other than during preheating, never top up the water while the oven is hot, and wipe away any leftover water once it has cooled.

The use and care guide includes a cooking table with useful starting points, such as roast veal or beef at 200°C for 70 to 75 minutes, frozen chips on Air Fry at 220°C for about 15 minutes after a 5 minute preheat, seared scotch fillet steak at 220°C for about 8 minutes and a 1.5kg chicken on Turbo Grill at 200°C for 55 to 60 minutes. For multiple racks, use Forced Air on shelves 1, 3 and 5 for delicate bakes, or Air Fry on the 2nd and 4th shelves from the bottom, with the hotter food on the 2nd shelf. Always put the baking tray on the lowest shelf when grilling to catch fat and juices.

Two practical points: if power is lost, the clock and any programmed settings are cleared and need to be reset, and the cooling fan keeps running after cooking until the oven has cooled. Before first use, heat the empty oven at 280°C for about half an hour with the room ventilated to burn off manufacturing odours. Never place cookware or foil on the bottom of the cavity during use, as it can damage the enamel.
