Schweigen is a 100% Australian-owned company specialising in German-engineered silent rangehoods. Every product is backed by a comprehensive manufacturer's warranty, giving you confidence in the quality and performance behind every appliance.
- Schweigen silent rangehoods (standard range): 5 years — Parts and labour
- Schweigen Design rangehoods: 5 years — Parts and labour
- Schweigen X & Exclusive rangehoods: 3 years — Parts and labour
- Schweigen onboard BBQ alfresco rangehoods: 3 years — Parts and labour
- Schweigen SteelFlex™ ducting: Limited lifetime — Against fair wear and tear from normal use
- Filters & GU10 LED globes (purchased from 1 January 2017): Limited lifetime — Against fair wear and tear from normal use
- Isodrive® & Ecodrive® motors: Refer to individual motor warranty card
- Silent exhaust fans: Refer to silent exhaust fan warranty card
Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims. The warranty applies to the original purchaser only and is not transferable. Warranty claims must be lodged within 10 business days of becoming aware of the fault.
What's covered
- Manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship
- Repair or replacement of faulty products within the applicable warranty period
- Lifetime coverage on SteelFlex™ ducting, filters, and GU10 LED globes against fair wear and tear
What's not covered
- Incorrect installation or failure to follow manufacturer guidelines
- Misuse, abuse, accidental damage, or neglect
- Damage from power surges, incorrect voltage, or liquid spillage
- Moisture, condensation, or water build-up not caused by a manufacturing defect
- Unauthorised modifications or repairs
- Normal wear and tear
- Commercial use of domestic appliances without written Schweigen consent
- Products not purchased as brand new from an authorised Australian retailer
Conditions
- Must be installed by a qualified installer with appropriate licences and experience
- Must be installed using the correct high-flow vent and ducting size
- Must be used and maintained in accordance with the product manual
- Warranty claims must be lodged within 10 business days of becoming aware of the fault
- Proof of purchase must be provided with all claims
- The warranty applies to the original purchaser only
Making a claim
Claims can be submitted via the service request form at schweigen.com.au or by contacting Schweigen's customer support team on 1300 881 693. Please have your proof of purchase and product model and serial numbers ready when submitting your claim.
Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
