Warranty coverage
Midea is one of the world's leading home appliance brands, now operating as a direct subsidiary in Australia with offices in Melbourne. Every Midea product is backed by a comprehensive manufacturer's warranty, giving you confidence in the quality and performance of every appliance.
Warranty periods apply to domestic use only. Commercial use is not covered unless otherwise specified.
Air conditioning
- Split wall mounted & ducted systems: 7 years — Parts and labour
- Portable air conditioners: 2 years — Parts and labour
- Accessories (remote controls, filters): 12 months — Replacement
Hot water systems
- Tank: 7 years — Replacement
- Compressor: 5 years — Replacement
- Parts & labour (servicing): 2 years
Kitchen appliances, laundry, refrigeration & small appliances
- Standard warranty: 2 years — Parts and labour
- Extended warranty (selected models): Up to 6 years — Register within 30 days of purchase at midea.com/au
- Accessories: 3 months — Replacement
Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims. For the extended 6-year warranty, product must be registered within 30 days of purchase. Products purchased from authorised retailers only.
What's covered
- Manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship
- Repair or replacement of defective products or parts within the warranty period
- Replaced parts or products assume the remaining warranty period of the original
What's not covered
- Incorrect installation or failure to follow manufacturer guidelines
- Misuse, accidental damage, abuse, or neglect
- Damage caused by power surges or incorrect electrical/gas supply
- Use of the product for commercial purposes
- Damage caused by unauthorised repairs or modifications
- Normal wear and tear
- Products purchased outside of Australia or from unauthorised retailers
- Accessories beyond their specified warranty period
Conditions
- Air conditioners must be installed by a licensed electrician or licensed refrigeration mechanic
- Cooktops and ovens must be installed by a licensed electrician or licensed gas plumber
- Products must be used and maintained in accordance with manufacturer instructions
- Air conditioners require annual servicing (domestic) to maintain warranty coverage
- Register selected appliances within 30 days at midea.com/au to activate the extended warranty
- Proof of purchase must be provided with all claims

Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
