Manufactured from fine fire clay using premium European materials, the Charlton sink is fired at extremely high temperatures to produce a dense, durable ceramic body finished with a smooth gloss glaze on every surface. This manufacturing process creates a hard-wearing, non-porous finish that resists everyday staining, assists with hygiene, and provides a smooth surface that is easy to clean. Unlike pressed metal sinks, the substantial construction delivers excellent rigidity while retaining the distinctive character expected from a traditional butler sink.

Designed for premium residential kitchens, the Charlton features two equally sized bowls, each offering a generous 37-litre capacity and a deep 220mm profile for handling everything from large cookware and baking trays to everyday food preparation and washing. Cleaning & Maintenance:

• Daily cleaning: Wipe the sink with warm water, mild detergent and a soft cloth to remove everyday food residue and maintain the gloss finish.
• Non-abrasive care: Avoid steel wool, abrasive scourers and harsh cleaning powders that may dull or scratch the glazed surface.
• Chemical protection: Rinse away bleach, acids and strong cleaning chemicals promptly to help preserve the ceramic glaze.
• Prevent staining: Remove tea, coffee, wine and highly coloured food residues as soon as practical to minimise the risk of surface staining.
• Protect against impact: Although fire clay is exceptionally durable, avoid dropping heavy cookware or sharp objects directly onto the sink to reduce the risk of chipping.
• Water spot prevention: Dry the sink after use with a soft cloth to minimise water spotting and help maintain the high-gloss finish.

Extra Information:

Fire clay sinks are individually manufactured and fired at high temperatures. As a natural characteristic of the production process, slight dimensional variation is normal and complies with Australian Standard AS1976. Fienza recommends that the sink be physically on site before cabinetry or stone benchtops are cut to ensure the most accurate installation.

The reversible front provides additional flexibility during kitchen planning by allowing either the decorative fluted apron or the smooth flat face to become the visible front of the installation. This enables the same sink to complement both classic farmhouse kitchens and more contemporary cabinetry designs.

The sink is glazed on every external surface rather than only the visible areas, providing a consistent premium finish regardless of the selected installation method.
