The DFM064W55A uses Bosch metal grease filtration technology designed to capture grease particles generated during cooking. Bosch recommends regular cleaning of the grease filters to maintain extraction efficiency and airflow performance. The aluminium filters can be removed and cleaned in a dishwasher.

The slideout design allows the extraction section to remain concealed when not in operation, making it well suited to kitchens seeking a clean cabinetry appearance without a visible canopy rangehood. The unit can operate as a conventional ducted rangehood or be configured for recirculation where external ducting is not practical.
