Product Overview:

The Bertazzoni BZIRH860-275 is an 86cm under-cupboard rangehood developed for concealed integration into overhead kitchen cabinetry. Its 275mm-deep base and 840 × 243mm cabinet cut-out provide a broad extraction area across the cooktop while keeping the working components largely hidden from view. The exposed underside is finished in matt black powder coat, giving the rangehood a restrained appearance beneath surrounding cabinetry.

Two motor configurations are available within the same appliance platform. The BZIRH860-275-1 uses a single motor with a rated maximum extraction capacity of 750m³/h, while the BZIRH860-275-2 uses twin motors for a rated maximum extraction capacity of 1,500m³/h. Both versions retain the same external dimensions, cabinet cut-out, two-speed control system, twin grease filters and two cool LED lights, allowing the extraction capacity to be selected without changing the cabinetry plan.

The BZIRH860-275 is designed exclusively for ducted extraction to the outside atmosphere. Each motor requires a dedicated 150mm metal duct connection, with the manufacturer specifying rigid or semi-rigid metal ducting, a maximum duct run of 15 metres and unrestricted external discharge. Correct duct planning is central to the performance of this rangehood, particularly for the twin-motor model with its two separate 150mm outlets.

Cleaning & Maintenance:

• Filter cleaning interval: Bertazzoni recommends cleaning the grease filters at least once each month and immediately after particularly heavy cooking.
• Hand cleaning: Wash the filters in warm soapy water before rinsing and allowing them to dry completely.
• Dishwasher cleaning: Position the filters on the upper rack and use either no detergent or a suitable powder detergent with a pH of 8 or below.
• Filter discolouration: Dishwasher cleaning may alter the appearance of the aluminium filters without necessarily affecting their operation.
• Drying requirement: Filters must be completely dry before they are reinstalled.
• Safe operation: The rangehood must not be operated without the grease filters fitted.
• Surface cleaning: Disconnect the appliance from power, clean the powder-coated surface with warm soapy water and a soft cloth, remove soap residue with a clean damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
• Products to avoid: Do not use abrasive, corrosive, caustic, acidic, industrial or citric cleaning products on the rangehood or its filters.

Extra Information:

The single- and twin-motor versions share the same 860mm overall width, 344mm height, 275mm depth and 840 × 243mm cabinetry cut-out. This allows both configurations to sit within the same planned cabinet opening; however, the duct layout must be selected before installation because the single-motor model has one 150mm outlet and the twin-motor model has two.

Extraction performance depends on the complete duct system rather than the rangehood alone. Long runs, restrictive terminal vents, undersized ducting, compressed semi-rigid sections and tight bends can increase noise and reduce airflow. Bertazzoni therefore specifies metal ducting of at least 150mm per motor and limits the total run to 15 metres.

Do not flambé beneath the rangehood. Accessible surfaces may become hot during cooking, and the appliance should be switched off after use. A damaged supply cord must be replaced by an authorised service centre or licensed electrician, while damaged LED protective glass must be attended to by an authorised Bertazzoni technician.
