• Installation type: Freestanding on a firm, level surface (not carpet) that lets the base ventilate. Install in a well ventilated location with an ambient temperature of 15-25°C.

Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

The AWM5000W uses a cold water connection only and requires water pressure of 0.1 to 1 MPa (0.1 MPa means more than 8 litres of water per minute from a fully opened tap). Connect the drain hose to a standpipe or the outlet of a household sink at a height of no more than 100 cm from the floor, and never extend it. The machine is for domestic use only, and installation should be carried out by an authorised service agent.

Programme times vary with the load, water temperature, ambient temperature and options selected. Maximum loads for the programmes are 5.0kg for the cotton programmes (2.5kg for Cotton 20°C), 3.0kg for Easycare/Outdoor, Mixed, Jeans/Dark and Fast 60', 2.5kg for Allergy, 2.0kg for Wool, Hand Wash and Rapid 15'. Cotton 40°C runs for about 260 minutes, Fast 60' for 60 minutes and Rapid 15' for 15 minutes, and the machine can be opened about 2 minutes after a cycle finishes.

Use a low-foaming detergent suitable for automatic washing machines. Use the pre-wash only for very dirty laundry, putting about a quarter of the detergent in compartment I and the rest in compartment II; in hard water areas more detergent will be needed. For lightly soiled loads skip the pre-wash and use a small amount of detergent in compartment II. Do not exceed the maximum load for the selected programme, and avoid washing laundry containing flour.

The energy rating of 433 kWh per year is based on the Cotton 40°C programme at 1200 RPM, seven washes per week, tested to AS/NZS 2040.2, and the water rating is tested to AS/NZS 6400. Actual energy use and running costs depend on how the appliance is used. Clean the machine periodically with a hot cotton cycle every 2 months, leave the door open after use to let the drum dry, and unplug the machine and turn off the water if it will be left unused for a long time.
