• Switching on: Twist the left and right heating tube control knobs to the right. Each element is controlled individually and the display shows the grill temperature.
• Temperature settings: Knobs run from OFF through medium (MID) to high (HI). Set both to HI to heat up, which takes approximately 3 to 5 minutes, then adjust to suit the food.
• First use: Run the grill empty for about 20 minutes to heat-clean the internal parts and dissipate odours from the cooking grate.
• Timer: Press the clock setting button, then use + to start a count-up timer (up to 24 hours) or - to set a countdown (up to 23 hours 59 minutes). The display shows minutes:seconds under 60 minutes and hours:minutes beyond that. Long press the clock button to cancel.
• Meat probes: Plug a probe into socket 1 or 2 and the display shows its temperature. Press the meat probe button to set a target between 32 and 122°C (90 to 250°F). The display flashes and a buzzer sounds when it is reached.
• Cooking guide: The manual lists times and settings, for example steak 2cm thick on HI for 10 to 14 minutes, boneless chicken breast on MID for 12 to 14 minutes, sausages on MID for 28 to 32 minutes and rack of lamb on MID for 35 to 40 minutes.
• Error codes: Er1 indicates a temperature sensor fault. Er2 appears if a knob is not at OFF when the plug is inserted.

• Power supply: Plug into an earthed outlet matching the rating plate. Do not use extension cords or multiple sockets, and do not connect additional loads to the same circuit. An RCD with a rated residual current of no more than 30mA is strongly recommended; consult your electrician.
• Power cord: Fully unwind the cord before use, keep it away from the hot plate and sharp edges, and do not use the grill if the cord is damaged. A damaged cord must be replaced by a professional.
• Clearances: The manual calls for at least 1.5m clearance around the appliance. Keep the grill at least 30cm from walls in operation and keep combustible materials at least 60cm from the back and sides.
• Freestanding only: Do not build this barbecue into any built-in or slide-in construction.
• Location: Outdoor use only. Keep it away from rain, snow and moisture, and more than 305cm from pools or ponds. Do not use near combustible materials such as wood, dry grass or shrubs, and do not store anything flammable in the cabinet.
• Handling: Switch off and unplug before moving, and do not move it while in use. Wear heat-resistant barbecue mitts (EN 407, contact heat level 2 or higher).
• Assembly: Assemble following the manual before first use. The manual marks steps requiring two people.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

The ATBBQ2ET is a single-configuration product because the hood lid is included. Artusi's spec sheet also lists a canvas cover as an accessory; it isn't confirmed as included with the BBQ.

Artusi describes this model as intended for grilling and baking, and not for frying or roasting. Please read the instruction manual, including the safety and grease fire guidance, before first use.
