• Tap hole preparation: The sink has pre-prepared Ø35mm semi-bores on both sides for the tap. Finish the hole you need with a diamond core drill, working from the non-visible side.

• Cut-out: Trace around the inverted sink and cut 1cm inside the line, or use the cut-out size listed under Product Measurements.

You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

The AGS1162 is Artusi's largest Granitek sink and the only one that pairs two bowls with a drainer. That layout keeps the whole washing routine in a single run: soak on one side, rinse on the other and let dishes drain beside them.

Because it is 1160mm wide, planning matters. The cut-out is 1140 x 480mm, so confirm the cabinet and benchtop can accommodate it before ordering. Artusi lists optional ARI01300 drain rack and ATL11600 wooden chopping block accessories for this sink.

Plan the cut-out as 1140 x 480mm, and keep in mind that Artusi notes its literature gives indicative dimensions only, so the sink itself should be used to mark the benchtop cut-out. It is specified as an inset sink. The Granitek installation instructions describe tightening the pre-installed clamps from the centre outward in a criss-cross pattern. The sink has no finished tap hole, so choose the tap position and finish the pre-prepared Ø35mm semi-bore with a diamond core drill.

Granitek is a bonded granite and acrylic resin composite, moulded using an internationally patented process that distributes the components evenly through the whole of the sink rather than only at the surface. The colour is applied by ceramisation, which fires the granite particles at over 700°C so the colour reaches their core and improves resistance to discolouration.
