Product Overview

The Artusi AFI607X 60cm Freestanding Induction Cooker pairs a four-zone induction cooktop with a 59-litre electric oven in a stainless steel finish. Touch controls give nine heat levels on each zone, while seven oven functions, a 50–250°C thermostat and an electronic clock and timer cover baking, roasting, grilling and defrosting.

The four induction zones total 5.0kW: two 140mm 1200W zones, a 180mm 1500W zone and a 210mm 1500W zone. A white LED display, child lock, over-temperature protection and automatic shutdown protection add reassurance for busy family kitchens.

The oven has 59 litres gross capacity in a 44cm wide x 41.5cm deep x 45cm high Active Enamel cavity with five shelf levels. A 2.0kW oven with seven functions is managed by an electronic clock and timer with semi-automatic and automatic operation. A baking tray, grill rack, chrome-wire shelf, chrome side rack supports and heat-resistant tray handles are included.

A triple-glazed removable door, a metal telescopic storage drawer and a removable splashback make everyday cooking and cleaning simple. The cooker measures 600mm wide, 900mm high and 600mm deep and is hard-wired for 220–240V single-phase (three-phase possible by bridging the connection box) at 7.0kW total connected power on a 32A or greater control switch.

Programmes / Functions
  • Oven functions (specification sheet): Classic (lower + upper + light), grill, base heat, half fan grill, fan forced, fan assisted and defrost.
  • Setting the oven: The oven only switches on after the temperature has been set with the temperature knob.
  • Classic convection (top + bottom heat): Conventional heating from above and below.
  • Static grill (grill): The grill and top heater together for more intense browning and larger portions. Set 250°C, preheat for about 5 minutes with the door shut and grill with the door closed.
  • Base heat (bottom heat): The bottom heater only.
  • Half fan grill (fan + grill): The grill with the fan for faster grilling and improved taste. Use with the door shut.
  • Fan forced (rear heat + rear fan): A heating element around the fan for uniform heat, minimal preheating and cooking several different foods at once.
  • Fan assisted (fan + bottom + top heat): The cake function, a conventional oven with a fan.
  • Defrost (rear fan only): Circulates air without heat for defrosting.
  • Electronic programmer: Set the clock, a timer from 1 minute to 23 hours 59 minutes, or a cooking time or end-of-cooking-time up to 10 hours so the oven switches off automatically and an alarm rings.
  • Hob heat levels: Levels 1–2 for delicate warming, melting and gentle simmering; 3–4 for reheating and rapid simmering; 5–6 for pancakes; 7–8 for pasta; 9 for stir-frying, searing and boiling.
  • Key lock: Lock the hob controls so they cannot be switched on accidentally. Only the on/off control stays active.
  • Pan detection: No heating takes place without a suitable pan, and the zone switches off after 1 minute if none is detected.
  • Auto shutdown: The hob switches itself off after a set period depending on the power level, from 8 hours at levels 1–3 to 2 hours at levels 7–9.
  • Shelf levels: Five guide levels counted from the bottom upwards.

Installation & Requirements
  • Qualified installation: All electrical work must be carried out by a suitably qualified and authorised electrician in line with the user manual and local regulations.
  • Electrical supply: 220–240V ~50Hz with a control switch (circuit breaker) of no less than 32A. The mains cable is already assembled at the rear and must be secured in the strain-relief device. Check the rating plate voltage matches your supply.
  • Single or three-phase: Bridge terminals 1-2-3 and 4-5 for single-phase 220–240V, or bridge 4-5 with phases on 1, 2 and 3 for three-phase.
  • Earthing: The safety wire must be connected to the earth terminal.
  • Cookware: Use induction-suitable pans with a smooth, flat base at least as large as the zone. Pans smaller than 140mm may not be detected.
  • Ventilation: The kitchen should be dry and well ventilated, for example with a ventilation grid or hood.
  • Clearances: Leave about 2cm of free space around the cooker. The wall behind should resist high temperatures, as its back can warm to around 50°C above ambient.
  • Furniture: Coatings and veneers on adjacent furniture must use heat-resistant adhesive rated to 100°C.
  • Installation position: Do not install the cooker behind a decorative door, to avoid overheating.
  • Floor and levelling: Stand it on a hard, even floor, not on a base, and level it using the adjustable feet reached after removing the drawer (±5mm).
  • Anti-tilt chains: Secure the two chains at the rear of the cooker to the wall behind it, as short as practicable and diagonal to stop sideways movement.
  • Splashback: Slide the lugs on the bottom of the panel into the slots at the rear of the cooker and fix with the screws provided.
  • Pacemakers: People with a heart pacemaker or other electrical implants should consult their doctor before using the induction hob.
  • Indoor use: Intended for household use only.

Extra Information

Check your pans before you order. Induction only heats magnetic cookware, so test with a magnet: if it sticks to the base, the pan is suitable. Pure stainless steel, aluminium, copper without a magnetic base, glass, ceramic and earthenware are not. Smaller pans under 140mm may not be detected, and you should lift pans rather than slide them to protect the glass.

Plan the electrics before you install. The cooker draws 7.0kW and needs a control switch of at least 32A, with a mains cable already fitted at the rear. The manual shows how to bridge the connection box for single-phase or three-phase supplies, so a licensed electrician should confirm the right set-up for your switchboard.

For first use, remove any protective film from the hob, wash the oven fittings and heat the empty oven at 250°C for about 30 minutes with the room ventilated. Always switch zones off with the touch controls rather than relying on pan detection, and keep metal objects off the glass because they can get hot.
