• Oven functions (specification sheet): Upper and lower heat (conventional cooking), electric grill, base heat, fan grill, fan assisted, fan with base heat and fan with light.

• Fan, bottom and top heater: Runs the fan with both heaters for cake baking, like a conventional oven with a fan.

• Cooktop heat levels: 1–2 keep warm and cook small quantities slowly; 3 slow cooking; 4–5 slow cooking large quantities; 6 frying and soup bases; 7–8 frying; 9 boiling, browning and frying at maximum power.
• Digital programmer (AFC607B: pre-programmable timer): Set the time of day, a timer from 1 minute to 23 hours 59 minutes, a semi-automatic cooking period or switch-off time of up to 10 hours, or an automatic start and stop. The alarm switches itself off after 7 minutes.

• Qualified installation: All electrical work must be carried out by a suitably qualified and authorised electrician in line with the user manual.
• Electrical supply: Built for 380–415V 3N~ 50Hz, 8.0kW in total, with 220–240V heating elements. It can be adapted to single-phase 220–240V by bridging the terminals in the connection box as shown in the diagram.
• Earthing and isolation: The cooker must be earthed. The fixed supply must include an all-pole disconnection device, and the connection cable must be secured in the strain-relief clamp.
• Ventilation: The kitchen should be dry and airy with effective ventilation, for example a ventilation grid or hood.
• Clearances: Leave about 2cm of free space around the cooker. The wall behind should resist high temperatures, as its back can warm to around 50°C above ambient.
• Furniture: Coatings and veneers on adjacent furniture must use heat-resistant adhesive rated to 100°C.
• Floor: Stand the cooker on a hard, even floor, not on a base.
• Levelling: Level the cooker before use. The adjustable feet are reached after removing the drawer, with an adjustment range of ±5mm.
• Anti-tilt chains: Secure the two chains at the rear of the cooker to the wall behind it, as short as practicable and diagonal to stop sideways movement.
• Splashback: Slide the lugs on the rear panel into the slots on the back of the cooker and fix with the screws provided.

Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Plan the electrics before you order. The cooker is built for a three-phase supply and 8.0kW in total, and Artusi's manual explains how to bridge the connection box for a single-phase 220–240V supply. An electrician should confirm which connection suits your switchboard, and the supply cable size depends on the connection type.

The ceramic cooktop rewards the right cookware. Choose pans with thick, even, flat bases at least as large as the heating zone, avoid concave or convex bases and pans with sharp edges, and do not put pans with a wet bottom on a warm zone. Do not switch a zone on until a pan is on it. Pans over 25kg should not be placed on the cooktop and pans over 15kg should not be placed on the opened oven door.

For first use, wash the oven fittings with warm soapy water, ventilate the room and heat the empty oven at 250°C for about 30 minutes, with each hotplate also heated for about 4 minutes without a pan. Some smoke and a manufacturing odour are normal and fade within about 30 minutes. For everyday energy savings, switch the oven off about 10 minutes before the end of long cooking times and use the residual heat. All three finishes share the same oven and cooktop, so the choice comes down to your kitchen's look. A Gloss Black glass front (AFC607B) shows fingerprints and splashes more than enamel, so a quick wipe with a soft cloth keeps it looking its best.
