Product Description
Product Overview:
The Fienza RAK Gwen Large Single Butler Sink is a premium fire clay kitchen sink designed to bring the timeless appeal of traditional farmhouse styling into both contemporary and classic Australian kitchens. Measuring 840mm wide, its generous single bowl provides ample capacity for washing oversized cookware, baking trays and serving platters while the distinctive exposed apron front creates a striking architectural feature within the cabinetry.
Manufactured by RAK Ceramics exclusively for Fienza, the Gwen sink is formed from fine fire clay before being kiln-fired and finished in a durable Alpine Gloss White glaze. The high-temperature firing process produces an exceptionally dense ceramic body with excellent resistance to staining, everyday household chemicals, fading and normal kitchen wear. The smooth glazed finish extends across all visible surfaces, creating a hygienic, non-porous surface that is easy to maintain and complements a wide variety of benchtop materials including engineered stone, natural stone and timber.
Designed for long-term performance as well as visual impact, the RAK Gwen can be installed as either an undermount or flushmount sink depending on the desired kitchen finish. Its deep single bowl comfortably accommodates large pots, roasting dishes and entertaining platters, while the minimalist flat-front apron preserves the authentic appearance expected of a traditional butler sink. Permanent structural support is required during installation, and Fienza recommends final cabinetry measurements always be taken from the physical product supplied, recognising the natural manufacturing tolerances associated with premium fire clay ceramics.

Cleaning & Maintenance:

- Routine maintenance: Rinse thoroughly after cleaning and dry with a soft cloth to minimise water spotting.
- Avoid abrasive cleaners: Do not use steel wool, scouring pads or highly abrasive cleaning compounds that may dull the glazed finish.
- Chemical exposure: Avoid prolonged exposure to strong acids, bleach or aggressive chemical cleaners unless specifically approved for glazed ceramic surfaces.
- Heavy impacts: Although fire clay is extremely durable, avoid dropping heavy cast iron cookware or sharp objects directly onto exposed sink edges.
- Hard water deposits: Mineral deposits may be removed using appropriate non-abrasive ceramic cleaning products recommended for glazed surfaces.

Product Measurements:
The RAK Gwen has been designed to maximise usable bowl capacity while maintaining proportions suited to standard butler sink cabinetry. As with all premium fire clay sinks, slight dimensional variation is inherent to the manufacturing process. Fienza recommends measuring the physical sink supplied before commencing cabinetry fabrication or benchtop cutting.
- Overall dimensions (W × D × H): 840 × 455 × 255 mm
- Internal bowl dimensions (W × D × H): 762 × 377 × 220 mm

Product Weight:
- Net product weight:Â 49 kg
Installation & Requirements:
The RAK Gwen is designed for professional installation into custom kitchen cabinetry. Due to its size and weight, installation should be completed before benchtop finishing and supported by permanent structural shelving rather than relying on cabinetry sides alone.
- Installation type: Butler sink with exposed apron front
- Mounting options: Undermount or flushmount
- Support method: Permanent support shelf required beneath sink
- Minimum cabinet size: 900 mm cabinet recommended
- Waste outlet: 90 mm basket waste
- Compatible waste: Fienza A3 Butler Sink Waste Series
- Waste included: No
- Tap holes: None — tapware installed through benchtop or wall
- Overflow: No
- Important installation note: Final cabinetry dimensions should always be confirmed using the physical sink received rather than technical drawings alone.
- Professional installation: Recommended for optimum alignment of cabinetry, benchtop and exposed apron front.
Because every fire clay sink undergoes kiln firing during manufacture, minor dimensional variation is considered normal. Cabinetmakers should never manufacture cabinetry solely from published dimensions before the sink has been delivered.
Country of Origin:
- Made in the United Arab Emirates
Extra Information:
Unlike pressed stainless steel sinks, fire clay sinks are manufactured through a traditional ceramic process in which refined clay is moulded, dried, glazed and fired at extremely high temperatures. This process produces an exceptionally hard wearing surface with excellent resistance to everyday scratching, staining and household chemicals while retaining the classic appearance that has made butler sinks a timeless feature in premium kitchens.
The generous bowl depth provides additional practicality for busy households, allowing larger cookware and entertaining platters to be washed more comfortably while helping contain splashing during food preparation and cleaning. Combined with its wide apron front and minimalist styling, the Gwen balances traditional craftsmanship with contemporary kitchen design.
Because ceramic is a natural material, every sink exhibits slight manufacturing variation. These small dimensional tolerances are an inherent characteristic of premium fire clay production rather than a manufacturing defect and should always be considered during kitchen planning and installation.
The RAK Gwen forms part of Fienza's premium kitchen collection and is intended for long-term residential installation where both durability and visual presentation are equally important.
