Programmes / Functions

Programme guide (per the Midea user manual):

  • IntensiveCare+: for the heaviest soiled crockery, and normally soiled pots, pans and dishes with dried-on food.
  • Heavy: a lower noise programme with normal energy consumption, used for washing in the evening.
  • ECO: the standard programme, suitable for normally soiled tableware and the most efficient in combined energy and water consumption. It is the test cycle under AS/NZS 2007.1 and runs for 180 minutes using 0.85 kWh and 12.7 litres.
  • Glass: for lightly soiled crockery and glass. It is also the default programme if no app programme has been activated for the Cloud Wash button.
  • Rapid: a shorter wash for lightly soiled loads that do not need drying.
  • HygieneCare+ (via app): sanitises dishes and glassware, with a highest water temperature of 72°C.
  • MachineCare+ (via app): cleans the dishwasher itself.
  • 90 min (via app): for normally soiled loads that need a quick wash.
  • Detergent dosing: the table lists 5g for the prewash and 27.5g for the main wash, or an all-in-one tablet. Programme duration, energy and water use are indicative except for the ECO programme.

Functions:

  • Power: press to turn the dishwasher on.
  • Program: press to select a programme, and the matching programme indicator lights up.
  • Delay: press to set the delay time (3h, 6h, 9h or 0h).
  • Half Load: choose this when you have about half a load or less to save energy and water.
  • Start/Pause: press to start after selecting a programme or delay time. If the programme has been paused by opening the door, press and hold for 3 seconds to cancel it.
  • Connect: press for more than 3 seconds to link the dishwasher to the app. Slow flashing means it is waiting for connection, quick flashing means it is connecting and solid means it is connected to your router.
  • Cloud Wash: runs a programme or function selected in the app.
  • Child lock: press the Half Load and Delay buttons for 3 seconds to lock or unlock the control panel buttons.
  • Indicators: a Rinse Aid indicator lights when the dispenser needs refilling, a delay time indicator shows the set delay, and a Program End indicator lights when the programme finishes.
  • Starting a programme: load the lower basket first, then the upper basket, add detergent, make sure the water supply is turned on at full pressure, close the door, press Power, choose a programme and press Start/Pause. The dishwasher starts after a few seconds.
  • Changing a programme mid-cycle: only possible if it has been running for a short time, because the detergent may already have been released. Press Start/Pause to pause, then hold it for more than 3 seconds to cancel, select the new programme and press Start/Pause again. Refill the detergent dispenser if needed.
  • Adding a forgotten dish: press Start/Pause, wait for the spray arms to stop, open the door completely, add the dish, close the door and press Start/Pause. The dishwasher continues after 10 seconds. Opening the door mid-cycle can release hot steam.
  • Automatic standby: to save energy, the appliance switches off automatically after 15 minutes without any user interaction.
  • Error codes: if there is a malfunction, a combination of the Cloud Wash, Rapid, ECO and Heavy lights flashes quickly. This covers causes such as restricted water intake or low water pressure, not reaching the required temperature or a heating element fault, overflow or a leak, and failed communication between the main and display circuit boards. If overflow occurs, turn off the main water supply before calling for service.

Installation & Requirements
  • Installation type: freestanding, or fitted underneath an existing worktop. The installation of the pipes and electrical equipment should be done by professionals.
  • Positioning: place the dishwasher near the existing inlet, drain hose and power socket. The back should rest against the wall behind it and the sides along the adjacent cabinets or walls. The water supply and drain hoses can be positioned to the right or left side to suit installation.
  • Fitting between cabinets: at 845mm high, it fits between existing cabinets of the same height, with the feet adjusted to reach the correct height. Leave less than 5mm between the top of the dishwasher and the cabinet, with the outer door aligned to the cabinet.
  • Under a worktop: remove the dishwasher's own top by unscrewing the screws under its rear edge, then screw them back in under the rear edge of the top.
  • Corner installation: if installed at the corner of the cabinet, leave a minimum space of 50mm so the door can open.
  • Levelling: adjust the screw level of the feet. The appliance should not be inclined more than 2 degrees.
  • Water inlet: connect cold water to a threaded 3/4 inch connector and fasten it tightly. Use the new hose sets supplied and do not reuse old hose sets. If the pipes are new or have not been used for a while, run the water until it is clear before connecting.
  • Safety supply hose: a double-walled hose that blocks the flow of water if the hose breaks. Pull it out of the storage compartment at the rear of the dishwasher, tighten it to the tap and turn the water fully on before starting.
  • Water drain: insert the drain hose into a drain pipe with a minimum diameter of 4cm, or let it run into the sink, avoiding bends and crimps. The drain pipe height must be less than 1000mm, the free end must not be immersed in water, and the hose must be securely fixed. A drain hose extension must not be longer than 4 metres.
  • Avoiding siphoning: if the connection to the drain pipe is higher than 1000mm, excess water may remain in the hose and must be drained into a bowl or container held lower than the sink. If the sink has a tap hose connection on the same water line, disconnect it and plug the hole.
  • Water supply: water pressure of 0.04 - 1.0 MPa.
  • Electrical: 220-240V~ 50Hz, 10A plug and lead. The socket must be earthed correctly. Use a 10A, 13A or 16A time delay fuse or circuit breaker on a separate circuit serving only this appliance. Do not use an extension cord or adapter plug, never cut or remove the earthing connection from the power cord, and disconnect the power before installing. A damaged supply cord must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or a similarly qualified person.
  • Unpacking: check the packaging and appliance on arrival to make sure everything is intact, and contact the retailer if there is any damage.

Extra Information

Use only detergent and liquid rinse aid designed for automatic dishwashers, and never use soap, laundry detergent or hand washing detergent. Dishwasher detergents are strongly alkaline and can be dangerous if swallowed, so keep them away from skin, eyes and children. Add detergent to the larger cavity for the main wash just before starting, and for very dirty items pour a small amount onto the door to activate during the prewash. The rinse aid is released in the final rinse to prevent water droplets, spots and streaks and to improve drying. The Low Rinse Aid indicator lights when it needs refilling, and the dose can be adjusted across five levels (d1 to d5) by holding the Program button for more than 5 seconds within 60 seconds of switching on. A higher number uses more rinse aid.

Scrape off large food residue but avoid pre-rinsing, which increases water and energy use. Load the lower basket with large and difficult items such as pots, pans, lids and serving dishes, and the upper basket with more delicate and lighter items such as glasses and cups. Face hollow items downwards, keep items from nesting or touching, make sure the spray arms can rotate freely and do not overload it. The maximum is 14 place settings. Knives and sharp utensils must be loaded with their points facing down or placed horizontally. Wooden, horn, china or mother-of-pearl handled cutlery, plastic that is not heat resistant, bonded or glued items, pewter, copper, crystal glass, rusting steel and wooden platters are not suitable. Items will be hot after the programme, so wait about 15 minutes before unloading and empty the lower basket first. The appliance is for indoor household and similar use only, such as staff kitchens, farm houses and hotel or bed and breakfast environments.
